Doric is where a product person builds a new product — and keeps building it, through every decision, every version, every change — by navigating its mission, specs and architecture, never its code.
The product began as Stoa, after the Stoa Poikile — the painted porch in Athens where people gathered to think, argue, and build ideas together. It is now Doric: the column order that holds a stoa up. Plainest, sturdiest, built to last.
The spirit is unchanged — a place where thinking happens collectively, where what was said yesterday is remembered today, and where everyone in the room, human and AI, works from the same shared understanding.
Building software is easy. Continuing it is where teams fall apart — decisions get forgotten, specs drift from code, and six months in, nobody remembers why anything is built the way it is. Doric solves this structurally: memory is a first-class part of the workspace, every change is verified by a component that didn't write it, and the architecture map never lies. The longer version is in the manifesto.
